A retreat in Tuscany and Umbria June 1-8, 2013 with John Ballew
La Dolce Vita: “the sweet life.” Italians are masters of it. Cuisine, wine, scenery, history, the arts, the pace of life. In a world where we are often far too busy and preoccupied by worries, getting away for week of relaxation, camaraderie and exploration can enrich our lives in many ways. And that’s especially true for those of us who are gay men.
That’s the spirit behind Gay Dolce Vita. In the company of like-minded gay men, you’ll have the opportunity to explore what’s important and meaningful in life as you explore a the richness of the Italian countryside. The week is an opportunity to make friends, find out more about what is important to you and make memories.
I’ve been facilitating workshops and retreats in Italy for more than a decade. I love Italy. It refreshes and renews me, and it excites my senses. There is no where like it, and I would love for you to join me there.
This is more than just a travel experience. I’ve facilitated several hundred groups, events and workshops over the past 20 years, and I know it is relatively easy to have what people call a “peak experience.” At this point in my life, I’m less interested in just collecting experiences; I want to help people create and maintain a good life. Your own dolce vita.
If you are eager to enjoy life and explore both intimacy and self-awareness in the company of other open-hearted men, this is the retreat for which you’ve been waiting. The retreat will be in English; no knowledge of Italian is required.
